The longstanding cabaret show is introducing new, special editions

Having run at the Edinburgh Fringe for over a decade, Sir Dickie Benson's Midnight Mania Cabaret is expanding with a new daytime edition: Midday Mania Cabaret. This will double the shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year!

Alongside, the show will debut at Buxton Fringe Festival with The Pump Room Cabaret, held in the Grade II listed Georgian Crescent and Pump Room.

An eclectic variety of burlesque, magic, live music, comedy, acrobatics and more.

Expect doses of charm, titillation and an air of ‘anything can happen’.

Midnight Mania, 23:55 - 0:55

The long-running midnight cabaret, Sir Dickie Benson’s Midnight Mania, will return as a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival after 10, 11 or 12 years (can't remember).

But we do know that, for the first time, it will run alongside a brand new daytime edition, Sir Dickie Benson’s Midday Mania.

Hollywood hellraiser Sir Dickie Benson returns, joining forces with award-winning burlesque star and producer Scarlett Whispers, to bring a twice-daily cabaret.

Rounding up some of the most crowd-pleasing acts from across the festival, it's a riotous mix of burlesque, live music, stand-up comedy, clowning and all manner of variety acts running back-to-back. No two shows are the same!

The Pump Room Cabaret, 20:00 - 21:30

The show debuts in Buxton with a special edition for the elegant surroundings of its new home: The Buxton Visitor Centre & The Buxton Crescent Experience, a Grade II-listed Pump Room, almost as old as Sir Dickie himself.

After much bickering and a series of poker games, this chaotic pair have selected some of the finest cabaret performers from across the UK for a truly dazzling show.

Magic, burlesque, live music and comedy is all in store for this dynamic and charming show.

Join the cast in the bar afterwards but do not challenge Dickie to a drinking contest.

This show debuts at the Buxton Fringe Festival on its opening night, 8th July, and returns for a two-night edition on 16th and 17th July.

Tickets £14, two for £20, three for £27 and four for £32.

Who are these characters?

Hollywood Hellraiser, infamous cabaret host and producer Sir Dickie Benson has been a Free Fringe veteran for over a decade. Causing riotous uproars and spellbinding shows, Dickie is loved by many and hated by some - that's why he is always in demand.

Scarlett Whispers is an international, award-winning burlesque performer and a frequent guest performer at Midnight Mania Cabaret. Their shared love of antiques, decadent jewels Ferraro Rochers - and a genuine passion for creating magical atmospheres that leave audiences feeling thrilled and charmed at the same time - meant Dickie called on Scarlett when the demands for his shows increased. Persuaded with diamonds and ostrich feathers, Scarlett teamed up and the shows took off.

Between them, this pair bring over a decade of experience producing and performing on the international cabaret circuit and at clubs and festivals across the country. Together, they have curated an evening with some of the most crowd-pleasing, talented and incredible acts they've met along the way.
