Cabaret Volt-Air draws inspiration from the historic nightclub that birthed the Dada art movement in 1916. As well as questioning the status quo, the club platformed experimental artists who went on to become some of the most famous names we know today!
This production celebrates the avant-garde. While Dada artists saw 'nonsense' as the ultimate political tool to challenge power structures and the artistic norms, Cabaret Volt-Air shows performers who work from themes of whimsy, avant-garde, political or social commentary and artistic innovation.
