Pump Room Cabaret Kicks off with a Sell-Out Show at Buxton Fringe Festival

On Wednesday 8th July, we launched the first edition of Pump Room Cabaret in Buxton during the Buxton Fringe Festival. What a delight that it was a sell-out show!

It was also the opening night of the Buxton Fringe Festival, which runs throughout July, alongside the Buxton International Festival.

The first show of Pump Room Cabaret included magic, live music, burlesque, tap dancing and audience games. The variety of acts shows how cabaret is: a very varied and interdisciplinary artform. The changing nature of performers also keeps the pace of the show energetic and lively. You won't be bored!

As one reviewer put it; "variety is the spice of life and this variety show definitely did not disappoint." (Moira Kean).

There are two more editions of Pump Room Cabaret in July, running on 16th and 17th July. We have a fantastic line-up of some of our favourite performers from across the UK's cabaret circuit. Bringing these artists together to curate an evening event is a true joy.

That's what it's like to put on a cabaret show. All the performers are like the best film you've ever seen, and you just want everyone to watch it too.
